Your Best Body 12-Week Challenge, Week 12!

Making the choice to work on you is a tough one.  It comes with hills and valleys.  It comes with having to be honest with yourself and with pushing on to get uncomfortable.  Being dedicated to being a better person inside and out is a challenging job.  It's much easier to sit in mediocrity and just go with the flow.  Who doesn't want to eat unlimited amounts of food, eat chocolate cake at midnight, and sleep in until noon everyday?  But the consequences of those choices will drag us down and keep us from reaching our true potential.

Congratulations on making the choice and taking the last 12 weeks to work on you, inside and out.  It takes time to get where you're going and may take many more challenges, weeks, and months for you to hit your goals.  That's ok because anything worth achieving is worth waiting for.  Nothing of importance and value happens in an instant.

This week's (and ongoing weeks'!!) challenge is to celebrate the journey.  Celebrate that you've made the choice to make yourself a priority.  Celebrate that you've lost one pound, five pounds, 20 or more.  Celebrate that you've changed your habits, met new accountability partners, tried new foods or activities, cut out bad foods, and/or changed your pants size.  Celebrate that today is another healthy day for you!

Without celebrations we lose sight of our why.  We often  get hung up on the have-nots, the missed goals, and the slow progress.  In order to really get the most out of what you're going for, you need to put a praise in the middle of it!  Yes times get tough, you may stall your weight loss, you may lose motivation, or you may not see any changes for a bit, but you have to put a praise in the middle of it! 

Take a moment to list five things that you're grateful for and five things that have positively impacted your journey.  When we take the time to do that, we realize how truly blessed we are!   We realize that each day is a gift and how important it is to choose to care for this ONE body we've each been given!

May you carry on what you started, may you reach new levels that you never imagined, and may you pay it forward to someone else as well!
