Maybe they just haven't found their fit, the activity that keeps them coming back for more?
Wanted: What's My Fitness Love?
When you get excited to go, when you feel you just can't miss it, then you'll start to see the results, too! For some, it's not always fun, and actually it may be something you fear at each and every class or scheduled time. But that challenge, that discomfort pushes you to higher levels of self confidence and helps you further your health and fitness journey and brings you the results that you're seeking. Maybe that push, that challenge itself is the bigger part of the fitness love than the actual activity?! Something to ponder!
This is a quick snippet of a class I take. I used to take it four times a week, because I LOVED it, but in the long run, I burned out because that wasn't balanced. I've since found balance with interval training, yoga, strength classes and this, "Turbo Kick", a Kickboxing class! The Instructor's in front and that's me in the pink behind her! Get it, girls!
This was on the news because the talented instructor, Julie Voris, has a spot in the newly released P90X2 at-home video workout series with popular trainer Tony Horton. The local news came out to one of her packed group exercise classes at the Fishers YMCA and as you can clearly see, there are a lot of us that are drawn to this class.
It's not about advertising for her, this type of exercise, or the venue (although they're all fantastic), my point is that each of us has a fit in all areas of our life. We have a place where we feel at home. We have our favorite color and our favorite food. So we should each have our favorite workout class, routine, event, or challenge that really fills our tanks to keep us coming back time and again. I speak for myself, but I wager to say that many of us find this class, this activity, and all the energy that goes with it keeping us on the line for fitness for a very.long.time! For me personally, it's all about my entire regimen that I love, but this class is a big part of that, too!
